Can-Do Camp

Can-Do Camp is a 16-week group startup process in which you’ll learn all the necessary requirements and best practices for starting a business or taking a new business to a more commercial level. You’ll have the opportunity to build a support network with your peers and learn from local professionals. You’ll receive essential resource guides, referrals, food safety guidance (food producers), pricing tools, connections to local retailers and much more. Our milestone program lays out achievable steps of starting a business and encourages you to celebrate along the way! By the end of Can-Do Camp, you’ll be ready to launch your business with a solid foundation!
WHO IS CAN-DO CAMP FOR?
- Aspiring non-food business owners
- Aspiring food entrepreneurs and food truck operators
- Existing Cottage Food Law food business
- Newly launched retail product, packaged food business, or service-based businesses
How much does it cost?
$400 for food businesses and $300 for non-food businesses (up to 2 co-owners). A limited number of scholarships are available. Please email sheena@candokalamazoo.org for more information.
When is the next cohort?
Join us for our upcoming fall 2023 Can-Do Camp, taking place on Thursdays from September 7th to December 21st (excluding November 21st for Thanksgiving). Sessions will run from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
We have two options for participation: in-person at the United Way of South Central Michigan (709 S. Westnedge) or virtually from the comfort of your own home.
